Market Data Support Analyst (Senior) – Investment Banking Environment
Position Overview:
The Senior Market Data Support Analyst is responsible for the operational support, administration, governance, and optimization of enterprise market data platforms within a global investment banking environment. The role supports Front Office trading, risk, research, compliance, and operations teams by ensuring the availability, integrity, entitlement, and performance of real-time and delayed market data services across multiple asset classes.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise, financial markets knowledge, vendor management experience, and production support capabilities within high-pressure trading environments.
Core Responsibilities
Market Data Platform Support:
Support enterprise market data infrastructure and applications across global trading desks.
Monitor availability and performance of market data feeds, vendor terminals, and distribution systems.
Troubleshoot real-time feed disruptions, entitlement issues, latency problems, and infrastructure incidents.
Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support in a 24x7 investment banking environment.
Coordinate with infrastructure, networking, cloud, and application teams during incidents.
Vendor & Feed Management:
Manage integrations with vendors such as:
Bloomberg
Refinitiv / LSEG
ICE Data Services
FactSet
S&P Global
SIX Financial
Morningstar
CME / NYSE / NASDAQ direct feeds.
Administer exchange connectivity, permissions, and licensing compliance.
Handle onboarding/offboarding of users and market data products.
Manage vendor escalations and SLA tracking.
Entitlements & Governance:
Administer market data entitlement platforms and permissioning models.
Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance with exchange policies.
Conduct audits and reconciliation of market data usage.
Support cost optimization initiatives and vendor inventory management.
Production Support & Incident Management:
Participate in follow-the-sun support and on-call rotations.
Perform root cause analysis for market data incidents.
Maintain monitoring dashboards, alerting systems, and operational runbooks.
Lead problem management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Automation & Engineering:
Automate operational processes and entitlement workflows.
Develop scripts/tools for monitoring, reporting, and reconciliation.
Improve observability and resiliency of market data platforms.
Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
Required Experience:
7–10+ years in Market Data Support or Financial Infrastructure Support.
Experience within:
Investment banks.
Capital markets firms.
Hedge funds.
Electronic trading environments.
Production Environment Experience:
Mission-critical production support.
Front Office support exposure.
High-pressure trading floor environments.
Global support model (AMER/EMEA/APAC).
Operational Experience:
